Every community, every week, one talmid

The weekly opportunity

Every week each community takes on one talmid — his year, and exactly what it costs to keep him there. It opens Thursday and closes motzei Shabbos, and the next week brings the next boy.

It is small on purpose. One boy is a figure a group can finish between Thursday and Shabbos, and a week that finishes is a week people come back to.

Once a week. That is all.

One message when your city opens. Nothing in between, and one link at the foot of every email stops them for good.

Join your city’s group

The week gets posted there first, before any email goes out.

One moment…

Want to adopt a talmid?

Take one boy for the year — his year, and what it costs to keep him there. Tell us roughly what you have in mind and we will find him. We will reach out to you.

Or just hear it by email

One message when your city opens. Tell us where to send it, and the next step is which cities — pick one, pick a few, or take the lot.

Adopt A Talmid is a program of Keren Olam Hachinuch. Every talmid has been reviewed and approved by our committee, and we identify them by a code so that no family is named. Anything given past a week’s goal goes to the scholarship fund and is put toward the talmidim who need it most.
